We left Japan, just when the Covid-19 pandemic started to hit hard.  We were so lucky to squeeze in the trip. As we were heading back to the airport, we were amazed at how dead the highways were. I took this picture because the angles and values really added to the confusion and solitude at the time. The road seems to wind in such an ambiqious  way, leading to a city which looks empty.
