Pet and people portraits, still life painting and decorative art by juried artist, Leslie Pease, BFA. |
|
|
In 1987, Leslie Pease graduated
from UMass Dartmouth (formerly known as Southeastern Massachusetts
University) with a BFA in illustration.

|
Immediately following graduation, Leslie
taught herself the computer and as many software applications as possible.
Entering the professional world Leslie worked as a full-time employee
and later, as a free-lance artist. Leslie created everything from corporate
presentations, to localization of software and other material into foreign
languages, working mostly on the computers. When her husband started his
internet business, Leslie left the corporate world to become his creative
partner and full-time designer.

After having two children and retiring from the work-force, in April, 2002, Leslie decided to return to her fine art roots. Wanting to try something new, she began to seriously teach herself how paint. After a short time dabbling with decorative painting, she began to paint pet and people portraits and still life painting, compiling quite a portfolio! |
|
| As a commissioned artist, Leslies passion and what she is best known for is her pet portraits. "Capturing the personality of the pet and reproducing the form accurately can be extremely rewarding." | |
|
Leslie has shown her work in juried shows, has written two articles for WetCanvas.com (known on the forums as Leslie Pz), donated work to charity and has been commissioned for many pet and people portraits. Thrilled to show her work on her website and other venues, Leslie hopes one day, to have gallery representation. |
